Who We Are
Nurture Nature is a social enterprise aimed at empowering communities by imparting skills, knowledge and resources in;
Sustainable Urban Farming Practices
One home at a time
We share our experience to people on environmentally friendly and economically viable methods of growing food in urban areas including community gardens, rooftop gardens, backyards or vacant lots while preserving both natural resources and the environment.
Composting Methods To Revitalize Soil
Our soil does matter
We equip individuals with skills to collect and break down organic materials such as food scraps and garden waste to create a nutrient-rich soil amendment that can improve soil health and fertility and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills.
Our Vision
‘’A world where communities have access to fresh organic produce and fertile soil’’
Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs)
Zero Hunger (SDG 2)
Our Impact
Increasing Access To Fresh & Organic Food Produce
With more people growing their own food at home and also by setting up small-scale edible gardens for the community.
The use of synthetic pesticides & fertilizers in food production can have adverse effects on our environment, health, & sustainability.
Increasing Organic Matter In Soil
With more people using compost in their gardens to nourish their soil and plants.
Organic matter is a key indicator of soil health, contributes to soil structure, nutrient availability, and water-holding capacity.
Reduction In Food Waste Going To Landfills
With more people creating their own compost at home using leftover food waste.
Malaysia generates around 17,000 tonnes of food waste per day in landfills that produces methane gas (greenhouse gas).

MINI EDIBLE GARDEN SETUP
Our soil can only sustain 80 to 100 more crop cycles, or 45 to 60 years maximum, according to science. Human actions, such as removing organic content from the soil, have led to a 40% loss of topsoil worldwide. This soil depletion is a significant threat to our ability to grow crops and produce food in the future.
For our world to have continuous fertile soil for cultivating crops,
WE MUST TAKE ACTION TO REVITALIZE SOIL!

What Else Do We Do

PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR BDOGGO RESCUE & REHOME INITIATIVE (Led by Brenda Foo)
BDoggo Rescue & Rehome rescues stray dogs, provide them with necessary vaccinations and offer rehabilitation services to dogs who require extra care. Ultimately, Brenda gives her best to find loving homes for these dogs, ensuring they receive the love and attention they deserve.
‘’In order to control the population of strays in our community, BDoggo Rescue & Rehome advocate TNRM (Trap Neuter Release Method) by rescuing and arranging spaying of the female or mummy dogs.’’ - Brenda Foo

Cultivate and propagate Vegetables
Cultivate and propagate a variety of vegetables, fruits, and herbal plants, which we then share with our community. To date, we have distributed over 1000 plants to community members including schools.

planting trees
Plant trees to help to create a more sustainable and resilient future for us all. We have planted more than 200 trees to date.
How Else Can You Work With Us?
You can help other communities benefit from our urban farming and composting workshops as part of your CSR initiative by commissioning us to teach them on how to kick-start their own edible gardens at home or setup a community garden.

Message from Our Founder
Navitha Nava Vinoba, Founder
Join Us To Make A Difference To Mother Earth!
I am Navitha Nava Vinoba, founder of Nurture Nature, an initiative born out of my family’s home garden where we spent quality time learning about plants. As our edible garden flourished, we found joy in sharing our bountiful harvest with friends and family. This led to many families expressing an interest in building their own edible gardens to grow their food organically.
Additionally, I became aware of the depleted state of soil in urban areas and learned how to divert food waste from landfills by creating organic compost to enrich the soil. This experience inspired me to spread awareness and teach composting methods to as many people as possible, promoting a collective shift towards a sustainable future and preventing ecological disasters.
Lastly, there are many health benefits of growing your own food and consuming chemical-free produce, which can have a profound impact on one’s well-being. Gardening and urban farming practices has been a lifesaver for me in many ways, and I encourage others to enjoy the same benefits.
